Wellhead Compression Project 2021 EPC PMC

Client: Pluspetrol Peru Corporation

  • Field (Type): Camisea (Gas & Condensate production; Onshore Peru)

  • Objectives:

    • Client wanted to install new compression train(s) by 2021

    • Client wanted to undertake EPC of third compression train for the Camisea Wellhead Compression Project.

    • To provide technical assurance for Cashiriari Compression EPC project

    • To provide technical supervisory support

    • To provide owner/client engineer services

    • Technical reviews of detailed engineering design documents

    • Compressor facility HAZOPs

    • Factory Acceptance Tests

    • Field performance tests and commissioning

  • Challenge: The key driver for the EPC of the third compression train was the declining reservoir pressures of the Cashiriari field.

  • Our Engagement: Eta was engaged as Owner Engineer (Engineering Consultants) because of its unique gas compression expertise and understanding of the client’s asset portfolio.

  • Approach: methodology based on Eta’s verify™ process was used

  • Stake: New Cashiriari compression train was critical to the future production and revenues from the field and project had to be delivered to the required quality, time and budget.

  • Results:

    • Successful technical review of detailed design documents, datasheets, and drawings

    • Successful completion of manufacturing inspection and supervision

    • Successful supervision and completion of Factory Acceptance Tests for gas turbine and compressor bundles in OEM factories
