Book a 30-Minute Discovery Call

Bring us the compression decision that is difficult to get comfortable with.

Whether you are dealing with declining field pressure, a production bottleneck, an unreliable compressor, a major modification, FEED or procurement, this call is a short technical conversation to understand the situation and determine whether ETA can help.

You do not need a finished scope of work. Start with what is changing, what decision must be made and what is at risk.

30 minutes No obligation NDA available Senior engineer conversation
Is this call relevant to you? Usually yes, if one of these is on your desk.
Declining pressure Future compression, location, timing or concept selection.
Production constraint Bottleneck, network pressure loss or major modification.
Reliability problem Underperformance, recurring failure, rewheel or life extension.
Project decision FEED, RFQ, vendor evaluation, technical assurance or commissioning.
Start With the Problem

You don't need to know which ETA service you need.

The purpose of the call is partly to determine what the real engineering question is and whether ETA is the right specialist to help answer it.

01 — Compression Strategy

“Our field pressure is declining.”

What compression should we install, where and when?

Suitable for discussions around wellhead, nodal or centralised compression, integrated asset modelling, suction-pressure sensitivities, compressor sizing and life-of-field strategy.

02 — Debottlenecking

“We're not achieving the production we expected.”

Is the real constraint the network, the compressor or both?

Suitable for pipeline hydraulic issues, high pressure drop, constrained facilities, recycling, compressor reconfiguration, rewheels and major modifications.

03 — Reliability

“The compressor keeps causing problems.”

Should we optimise, repair, rewheel, rehabilitate or replace?

Suitable for poor performance, chronic reliability issues, high OPEX, ageing machinery, changed duty and life-extension decisions.

04 — Project Assurance

“We need confidence before this project moves forward.”

Is the technical solution robust enough to buy and execute?

Suitable for FEED, package specifications, RFQs, bid evaluation, vendor proposals, Owner's Engineering, FAT and commissioning.

What Happens on the Call?

A focused technical conversation—not a generic sales presentation

The call should reduce uncertainty for both sides. By the end, you should have a clearer view of what the next engineering step ought to be.

01

Understand the situation

What has changed, what are you seeing and why has the issue become important now?

02

Clarify the decision

What answer does your technical team, management or procurement function actually need?

03

Test the fit

We will determine whether ETA's specialist capability is relevant and what information would be needed.

04

Agree the next step

That might be a follow-up technical discussion, data review, proposal—or simply confirmation that another route is more suitable.

Preparing for the Call

Bring what you have. You do not need a completed engineering scope.

Helpful information

If available, these make the conversation more productive.

  • Brief description of the field, facility or compressor
  • The operational or project problem
  • What has changed recently
  • The decision your organisation needs to make
  • Timing or schedule pressure
  • Existing studies, models or OEM proposals
  • Known production, reliability or commercial impact

You do not need...

Don't delay the conversation because the problem is not yet neatly packaged.

  • A completed scope of work
  • A final Basis of Design
  • Every item of operating data
  • Management approval to start a study
  • Certainty about which ETA methodology applies
  • Permission to disclose confidential details before an NDA
A Confidential, Independent Conversation

You should be able to discuss the problem without being pushed toward a predetermined solution.

ETA is independent of compressor OEMs and EPC contractors. The purpose of the first conversation is to understand the engineering decision—not to steer you toward equipment.

NDA can be arranged before detailed technical information is shared.
No obligation to commission a study after the call.
If ETA is not the right fit, we will say so.
Early-stage, poorly defined problems are welcome.
The first objective is not to sell a project. It is to understand whether there is an engineering problem we are well placed to solve.
Is ETA the Right Fit?

The call is most valuable when specialist compression judgement matters.

A strong fit

You are an oil & gas operator, project team or technical organisation facing a material gas compression, production, reliability or project decision where independent specialist input would reduce risk.

Early stage is fine

You know there is a future production or compression problem, but the exact study scope, technology choice or engineering route has not yet been defined.

Possibly not the best fit

If you simply require a commodity equipment quotation, routine spare parts support or a general multi-discipline EPC contractor, another provider may be more appropriate.

Prefer to Write First?

Send us the technical situation instead.

Some prospects would rather explain the problem before choosing a meeting time. Give them that route instead of forcing everyone through the same calendar.

Keep the form short and ask for information that helps ETA understand the decision—not generic marketing qualification data.

Sensitive technical documents do not need to be uploaded at this stage. An NDA can be arranged first where necessary.

This is more useful than asking for a generic “message”.
Before You Book

Common questions

Is the call really free?

Yes. The 30-minute introductory conversation is intended to understand the situation and establish whether ETA can help. There is no obligation to proceed with a project.

Do I need a defined scope of work?

No. In many cases the challenge is precisely that the correct engineering scope has not yet been defined. The call can help clarify what question needs to be answered first.

Can we put an NDA in place first?

Yes. If the discussion requires confidential field, equipment or commercial information, an NDA can be arranged before sensitive material is exchanged.

Who should attend from our side?

Usually one technical or project stakeholder is sufficient for the first conversation. Depending on the issue, that may be a Facilities, Rotating Equipment, Mechanical, Process, Project, Development, Reliability or Engineering Manager.

What happens after the call?

If there is a good fit, the next step may be a data review, a deeper technical workshop or a formal proposal. If another route is more appropriate, ETA can say so without creating an unnecessary sales process.

Ready to put the compression problem on the table?

You do not need to have the answer—or even the final engineering question. Start with the situation and the decision your team needs to make.
